Burnham-on-Sea Food & Drink Festival

From one harvest to another for Harry’s Cider siblings

With the apple harvest well underway, family members Toby and Lizzie escaped the orchards for the day on 31st October and headed off to represent Harry’s Cider at theBurnham-on-Sea Food & Drink Festival.

While the event’s apt ‘Harvest’ theme meant the rest of the family back in the orchards weren’t far from their thoughts, around 16,500 festival visitors ensured they were kept busy from start to finish.

Harry’s Cider enjoyed its third largest day of sales this year, selling 210 bottles of Dabinett and Original and 130 litres of Farmhouse cider in just 7 hours!

Held twice a year, the Burnham-on-Sea Food & Drink Festival is the largest celebration of food and drink

in Somerset, with over 100 traders focused on high quality produce and local provenance. At the last event in May 2015, the Mayor of Burnham turned up for a pint of Harry’s Cider, and sure enough he returned this time around for a crisp pint of Harry’s Dabinett in the late October sunshine.

In fact, there were a good number of repeat customers from the May event, which was great to see.

We’re already looking forward to meeting them all again at the next Burnham-on-Sea Food & Drink Festival in May 2016, by which time the apples we’re busy pressing now will have been transformed into delicious and refreshing Harry’s Cider!
