Harry’s Cider Claims Gold in CAMRA’s National Cider Competition

A year of tasting by Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) revealed the winner of the Cider and Perry Championships at Reading Beer Festival on Saturday 5th May.

Harry’s Scrummage was named Britain’s best Cider and Nempnett’s Piglet Choice Perry named best Perry.

150 Cider and Perries featured, coming from up and down the country.

Harry said: ‘I am overwhelmed and really excited about this accolade. It’s a huge achievement for the whole Harry’s team and I hope everyone enjoys the cider as much as we do.’

The festival marked 30 years of CAMRA’s campaign for real cider, particularly poignant as members at the recent AGM voted for continued support of real Cider and Perry.

Having made Cider on his family farm for 13 years, it is just reward for the hard work Harry and the team have put in.

Traditional Cider is a big part of the ‘Harry’s Range’ and this Award will give great coverage and awareness for the popularity of Farmhouse Cider.
